Born and raised in Timaru, Mike completed a BSC in Psychology at the University Canterbury. Whilst studying, Mike worked for Mainguard Packaging as a forklift driver. Eighteen years later and he had moved through the roles to becoming a Manager in flexible packaging. He left to diversify his experience and worked in both the label and injection moulding industries before moving back to flexible packaging.
Mike has been involved in Plastics New Zealand and was on the Board of the Plastics and Materials Processing Industry Training Organisation for ten years. He brings this knowledge and experience to his conversations with clients who want to move to more sustainable cardboard packaging.
Mike loves being part of seeing projects go to market exactly how our clients’ envisioned they would and watching them succeed.
When he is not thinking about packaging, Mike spends time with his family and is on the Board of the UpClub Educational Trust, which provides opportunities for young people with Down syndrome. He also enjoys working out at the gym and is an avid reader of fact and fiction.
